THE GOLD ARCHIVE

Poetry as Preservation Presents - Poetry from the Heights An intimate rooftop poetry performance by Lucky Goldie, set against the Brooklyn night sky. “Children of Stardust & Cosmic Wonder” explores our connection to the universe, the mystery of existence, and the infinite potential carried within us. Where poetry meets the cosmos, every word becomes a reminder that we are made of something greater. Presented by Poetic Production NYC.

On September 19, 2026, Lucky Goldie stepped onto Amsterdam Avenue in Harlem to honor CheoDaDon and eleven years of Bakery HNY with an original poem written specifically for the occasion: “Eleven Years in the Oven — A Poetic Homage to CheoDaDon & Bakery HNY.” What began through a connection made by Lucky Goldie's beloved Uncle Shyst became a moment where poetry, entrepreneurship, community, culture, fashion, and Harlem history met on the same sidewalk. The poem celebrated more than eleven years in business. It honored the vision behind the Bakery—the imagination required to create something from nothing, the discipline required to keep the doors open, and the legacy created when one person's vision becomes part of a community's story. From “Different flavor. Same oven. Different year. Same devotion.” to the final toast to CheoDaDon, Bakery HNY, and Harlem, Lucky delivered the piece surrounded by the very people whose support helped make eleven years possible. This performance also marked another chapter in Lucky Goldie's own journey as an award-winning Brooklyn poet: bringing original poetry beyond the page and into the places where culture is actually being made. Brooklyn brought the Wordsmith. Harlem brought the oven. Eleven years brought the testimony. And poetry documented the moment. “Cheers to eleven years in the oven… with plenty more left to cook.” Yours truly, The Wordsmith, Lucky Goldie

An unforgettable milestone in the journey of Lucky Goldie. Recorded during the 2026 BCALA National Book Award Ceremony in Chicago, this live performance captures the words, passion, and purpose that helped earn national recognition for Life Is Just a Dream: A Book of Poetry. More than a reading, this moment stands as a testament to perseverance, artistry, and the power of poetry to transcend circumstance.

On June 20, 2026, I had the honor of performing my original poem, To the First Renaissance, at the Ruff Ryders Radio Juneteenth Street Festival. 🇺🇸

Presented in one of New York City’s most historic creative spaces, this moment reflects the living continuum of culture, voice, and evolution. — Lucky Goldie

Life Is Just A Dream (The Year the Dream Answered Back) is a poetic wrap-up of a year where vision met velocity. Written from the threshold between reflection and revelation, this piece documents the moment persistence became proof. What once lived quietly in notebooks, prayers, and late-night resolve now speaks back loud, certain, and embodied. Through cadence, memory, and measured grace, Lucky Goldie traces a year defined not by survival, but by alignment: art finding its audience, purpose finding its timing, and faith turning into form. This poem is both a ledger and a love letter to the past that forged him, the present that tested him, and the future that finally replied. A testament to patience, devotion, and the undeniable truth that when you honor the dream long enough, it answers back.
