From Ripple to Flight: August Reflections

August was not just a month it was a motion.
A ripple became a current.
A domino tipped into destiny.
And from those falling patterns, a butterfly broke free its wings shimmering with gold.
This month, I stood inside the story I’ve been writing for years. Performing Crows of the Ghetto live in the ghetto, back home in Brownsville, at the Brotherhood BBQ in honor of my poppa there was no stage more sacred. To speak my truth on that soil, where pain and promise coexist, it was a reminder that poetry isn’t just words it’s inheritance, it’s echo, it’s transformation.
But August wasn’t about one performance it was about momentum. The ripple effect of all my moves began to show themselves: new connections, readers leaning into my ink, seekers seeing me clearer. Then came the domino effect opportunities stacking, visions aligning, doors creaking open just wide enough to prove that faith plus persistence equals fruition. And now? The butterfly effect. My words don’t just live on the page they ripple into communities, into generations, into places I’ve yet to stand but already claim.
What started as a whisper in my notebook has become a voice amplified by the people, for the people. And if August taught me anything, it’s this: when you live in alignment, you don’t just change your own life you change the vibration around you.
So here I stand, grateful, relentless, and radiant. August is only the beginning. September, October, November watch how the wings keep unfolding.
Life is just a dream.
But the dream is golden.
